When this client first came to Hope Clinic, she was 34 weeks pregnant and feeling
overwhelmed and unsure of what the future held. She arrived seeking help, clarity, and
compassion.
At the time, she was navigating her pregnancy without the involvement of the baby’s
father. Their relationship had ended months earlier due to emotional and verbal abuse.
She shared that she felt safe and confident that he would not be part of her or her
child’s future. While he had once wanted to form a family, she knew that continuing a
relationship with him was not the path God was calling her to take.
She was living with family members, in less than ideal conditions, and she was honest
about her circumstances and her limitations. She did not believe she was able to care
for a child at this stage in her life. Drawing from her family’s experience, she reflected on
a loved one’s decision to place a child for adoption years earlier. Though that journey
had included grief, it ultimately brought peace and assurance. Seeing that child thrive in
a loving home helped her understand that adoption can be an act of deep love and
selflessness.
Through prayer, counseling, and support at Hope Clinic, this client began to see
adoption not as loss, but as purpose. She found comfort in the truth that just as
believers are adopted into God’s family through Christ, her child could be lovingly
placed into a family chosen to nurture and protect them. Adoption became a reflection
of God’s grace—choosing life, choosing hope, and trusting God’s plan even when it is
difficult.
A few short weeks after her initial visit at Hope Clinic, she delivered her baby and
followed through with her adoption plan. While the decision was not easy, she
expressed peace knowing her child would be deeply loved and provided for. She
continues to walk forward with strength, faith, and the reassurance that God can bring
beauty from even the most challenging seasons.
Her story is a testimony to courage, redemption, and the power of choosing life—and a
reminder that in Christ, we are never alone, and every act of love matters.
