"Jessie" found her way to Hope Clinic during a very difficult time in her life. She was seeking education on her choices for her unplanned pregnancy, uncertain of how to move forward. Jessie had been in a short-term relationship and was finishing her final semester in college. Believing she might be pregnant, she took the Plan B (oral pill within 48 hours). When she discovered that she was, in fact, pregnant, she became distraught.

While pouring out her heart to her Care Coordinator, she said this was the first time she was able to cry and expose her feelings with someone else openly. Jessie also became vulnerable enough to share her feelings about her faith and struggle with considering abortion. She began to realize that she had done all she could to prevent the pregnancy "but God!" Jessie was able to find strength in God by affirming, "God has a different plan for my life and a divine plan for my baby."
