Liz grew up on a small farm in Maryland. Even in high school, she felt compelled to stand up for unborn children who could not speak for themselves. Liz struggled with how she could use her skills and talents to make a difference. In 2006, she received her Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Evangel University in Springfield, MO.
Liz has been married to Ben Catalano, General Manager at Green Bay Converting, for over 10 years. They have two rambunctious and dramatic children, Eisley and Cane. While living in Ben’s hometown of Green Bay, WI, Liz prayed and asked herself what she would want to do if money were not an issue. Trusting God would supply all their needs and her answer was immediate; to support those facing unplanned pregnancies. She began volunteering at Marion House, a group home for teen mothers. Soon after she served there as an AmeriCorps member. After two years with AmeriCorps, she worked as the Program Manager of Marion House’s Transitional Living Apartments, serving homeless mothers.
When Ben’s work brought the family to Mississippi in 2016, Liz stayed at home with their children. She still felt called to support mothers facing unplanned pregnancies. In the fall of 2017 she received an email from Hope Clinic asking, “Do you want to be a part of a missional, educational and material assistance program?” Liz became involved in planning and volunteering with Hope Clinic Connections. Within that next year Liz was asked to consider applying for the Administrative Assistant job where her gifts and talents would be used to help those facing unplanned pregnancies.
